Hip-hop (rap, scratch DJing, and beatbox), punk (both hardcore and old-school stuff like the Clash), skacore, reggae, indie/folk/acoustic, metal (black metal, death metal, stoner metal, and sludge metal mostly), a bit of classical, and selective EDM (electro-soul, electro-funk/future funk, electro-swing, and hip-hop influenced chillstep-- GRiZ and Gramatik are my favorites-- and I hate house/DnB/trance and all the other repetitive, monotonous kinds of EDM). Lots of different stuff.

I am into heavy metal, especially progressive metal, power metal and melodeath metal. Top bands in my opinion would be Sabaton, Civil War, Arch Enemy, Amon Amarth, Dream Theater.
I am also into noir jazz, classical music, alt rock, DnB, a bit of punk. Can't really get into hip hop/ rap.

I'll have to look into those stoner metal bands. Never heard of them, but if they've got anything on Electric Wizard I'm sure they're awesome. Oh and I don't know how I forgot Brother Ali. He's probably my favorite political rapper, easily up there with the others we named. If you don't know him, check this out. Or this is a newer song. The first time I heard Gather Round, I wasn't fully on-board with the beat (it's unusual), but the lyrics are awesome, and it grew on me a lot. Uncle Sam Goddamn is just amazing in every way. Haha. |
