Well. I'd love to believe these advancements would come about and all be executed well in a collectivised approach, but the Cynical Pragmatist in me knows that these advances are coming and will be applied in our Capitalist society, resulting in a class divide that even Marx never could have seen coming. The Rich will become an immortal super race while the proletariat are left to wallow in our own filth and mortality. It would cause the over all human view of life to extend, meaning those who were not privy to the extension would feel all too short lived, resulting in a political shortsightedness and a hedonistic culture as people chase thrills 'because life is short' and they don't want to waste any of their blessed moments. The proletariat always find a way to mimic the rich and for these labouring men and women it would be in post mortem preservation. Everything would be documented. Every milestone. Every Tragedy. because maybe if they can't live in flesh they'll live in memory. In short, I believe in it and I'd love to see it happen. Realistically it won't.

I think its against the laws of nature, that bieng said I think its okay if people in smaller communities go for it as long as its green technology, and doesn't effect say possible primitivist communities.
